The Laboratory for AI, Robotics and Automation (LARA) invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral research fellowship position at the University of California, Davis, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. The project focuses on the design and implementation of a haptic navigation system for individuals with visual impairment. Background and hands on experience in the design of electromechanical/mechatronic systems and actuators is needed. Background in the design and fabrication of microelectromechanical systems is a plus but not necessary. The appointment is for one year with the possibility of extension to the second year based on performance. The Research Fellow will be supervised by Dr. Iman Soltani.

Requirements:

• Candidates must hold a PhD in Engineering or related fields with research and hands-on experience in mechatronics systems design.
