Jesus De Loera is an expert in discrete mathematics, computational geometry, and optimization. He will contribute to the Center in two main ways: he is interested in the foundational aspects of data science, such as neural network structure and clustering and unsupervised classification problems; he has also initiated collaborations with the Veterinary school and Land & Water resources projects.
